General Croatian Beginners' Courses

Every month we start a new Beginners' course which introduces both spoken and written Croatian. Proficiency in conversation is the primary goal though all of the four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, are practiced thoroughly.

Students are encouraged to develop their Croatian language communication skills so that they can use the language confidently and correctly. Special emphasis is placed on pronunciation, intonation, stress and vocabulary building.

Small classes ensure maximum opportunity for participation and attention to individual needs.

On completion of the Beginners' Course you will have covered the fundamentals of Croatian grammar including past, present and future tenses and will have sufficient vocabulary to participate in basic everyday conversation.

Duration of course: 30 hours (1.5 hours/week for 20 weeks)
Weekday evening courses take place from 19:30-21:00
Saturday courses take place from 11:00-12:30

Intermediate and Advanced Courses

Lower and upper intermediate and advanced courses in general Croatian provide opportunities to build on the fundamentals mastered at beginners' level. Situational and functional language practice, attention to listening skills, use of authentic materials and role plays comprise a dynamic approach with effective communication as its goal. More specialized intermediate and advanced courses in spoken and written Croatian are also available according to demand. Just contact us for details.

Courses for Children

Responding to the needs of the growing number of multi-cultural families, the Croatian Language School has launched Saturday classes for children aged 5-7 and 8-12. A lively and fun-filled approach offers a unique opportunity for young learners to access the language.

One-to-One Tuition

The Croatian Language School offers individual courses from general to specialised Croatian for students at any level. Working closely with you we assess your language proficiency and design a course of study to meet your needs.

Tuition can take place at the school or in your home or workplace in Central London and you can start a course at any time of year. Classes are available between 8:00-20:00 Monday-Friday. Weekend sessions can also be arranged. The length and frequency of sessions is flexible to meet your needs.
